About Us
TAF Tyre and Exhaust started trading in 1962 from small premises in St Helier’s Byron Lane. Recognising an opportunity to provide Jersey motorists with quality tyres and exhausts, our founder quickly established a reputation that lasts to this day. In the years between then and now, TAF moved first to premises in Lewis Street, then to Commercial Street and finally to our current location in The Parade.
Over these years, we have established a considerable network of supplier relationships and partnerships, each of which has enhanced our capabilities. We have also looked beyond Jersey’s shores to gain the assurances that come with alignment to larger and global associates including City First Tyres, which operates an extensive network of outlets across the UK.

Director
Loves talking about tyres, boating and motor racing. When not focussed on TAF Tyres and other business interests, Tony competes in the UK Britcar Trophy Endurance Championship. He also likes a track day or two but that’s mainly for the fun of the road trip and the banter.
James
Director
Loves talking about tyres, cars, motor cycles and family. Changes his cars more frequently than some people change their socks. A word of advice, don’t mention you might be selling something, he’s bound to be interested.
Mick
General Manager
Loves talking about tyres, exhausts, batteries, servicing, mobile fitting and most especially, golf. There is nothing Mick doesn’t know about our industry. There is also nothing Mick doesn’t know about golf – you have been warned
Tom
Assistant General Manager
Also loves talking about everything, whether he knows about it or not. Excellent with our customers and already gaining tremendous traction (pun intended) with our social media platforms.
David
Workshop Manager
Mr Helpful and our head Mobile Technician, loves talking about everything and absolutely loves helping our customers solve their (car related) problems.
Ben
Tyre Fitter
Owns the biggest guns in the garage, primarily because in addition to being a great tyre fitter, he is also a fully qualified personal trainer.
Dylan
Trainee Tyre Fitter & Mechanic
Despite being the youngest member of the team, you will not meet a more polite and hard-working young man. He will go far, hopefully in a car with tyres fitted by Taf Tyres.
Evie
Trainee Tyre Fitter
Returning from the warm turquoise waters of Greece where she was a sailing instructor, Evie has returned to Earth to do a winter season with Taf Tyres. Something tells us it’s not the winter season she had in mind, but you’d never guess from the size of her smile!
